VI COMMANDO

Prt. Walsh served in No.6 Commando from, at least, 26^th June 1942 and in No.1 Troop of No.6 Commando from, at least, 1945. 

Prt. Walsh was a keen amateur boxer and competed on the Commando boxing team as a Middle Weight.

It is noted that he was captured in North Africa but had escaped from a Prisoner of War camp in Italy with Prt. Wicks, returning to serve with the Commando.
